Mythology

The role of Myths in society have changed over the generations of time. Back then they didnt have TV's or any source of entertainment so people made up stories. As people made up more and more stories they seem to keep getting passed on through generations. Myths were more believable at that time then now. Noone had proof they werent real.

Nowadays Myths are just stories people tell for fun and we are still not sure if they are true or not. For example, the story about Athena being born from Zues's head is told but not believed by many people. Mythology is meaning to the study of Myths or collection of Myths. Myths are related to legends or folktale. Some common elements were Gods and Goddess's, hero's, creation of people and animals, and power. A example of a Myth, Aphrodite was born on a large shell that was carried to land. She had sea nymphs dress her with flowers and gold.

In the end all Myths have cultures that somewhat bind together. Either by being related or created in the same world. Most Myths were unrealistic and normally not true but people still tell them as a fun story. Throughout generations the same story will get passed down but with a little twist to make the story different. They will continue to go on for more and more generations as well.
